He was born in 1957 in Sivas, the fourth child of a teacher father and a housewife mother. He studied the first three years of his primary education at Siirt Yeni Primary School. She graduated from primary school in Eskişehir Yunus Emre Primary School. She attended secondary and high school at Eskişehir Süleyman Çakır Girls’ High School. She graduated from science -biology class. Due to her interest in painting and music arts, she took part in various trainings and activities in these art fields. She graduated from the Department of Voice Education of Istanbul Atatürk Institute of Education, Department of Music in 1980 as a student of Saadet İkesus Altan, one of our first opera singers. She worked as a music teacher at Burdur Girls’ Vocational High School, where she was first appointed in 1980, until 1990.

In 1990, he won the exam opened by Akdeniz University Burdur School of Education and started to work as a lecturer in the Classroom Teaching Department of this institution. In 1991, he completed his bachelor's degree at Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Music.

She graduated from Gazi University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Music Education in 1996 with a thesis conducted under the direction of Prof. Ali Sevgi, and in 2001 with a thesis conducted under the direction of Suna Çevik and Prof. Dr. Erol Belgin.
With the establishment of Süleyman Demirel University (SDU), his staff was transferred and he worked as a lecturer in the Music Department between 1993 and 2001. Between 2002 and 2006, he worked as Asst. Assoc. Prof. Dr. in the Department of Music Education at SDU Burdur Faculty of Education. With the establishment of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, he continued to work as Assist. Prof. Dr. in the same department between 2006 and 2007. In 2007, he received the title of Associate Professor. Since 2013, he started to work in the same institution and unit with the title of Professor.

During his master's degree, he started to compose children's music with Prof. Veli Muhatov. In 2006, his book titled Şiir'den Şarkıya (From Poetry to Song), consisting of his compositions based on the poems of well-known children's literature poets of our country, with piano accompaniment written by Oya AKMAN AKYILDIZ, was published: Songs with Piano Accompaniment for Children and Youth Choirs was published. She continued her singing studies in her graduate education with Prof. Gülşen Şimşek and Assoc. Keriman Davran. She studied choral conducting with Prof. Suna Çevik.

In 1998, he worked as the founding conductor of the Burdur Municipality Children's Choir until 2002; he participated in various festivals and concerts. Within the scope of the project of establishing children and youth choirs opened by the Ministry of Culture in various provinces, he served as the founding conductor of the Burdur Youth Choir and took part in various concerts and festivals with this choir.

In 2000, he served as the founding conductor of the Ministry of Culture Burdur Youth Choir, which was established within the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey, between 2001-2002. With Burdur SDU Polyphonic Choir, he received a silver medal as the second prize in the 29th Festa Musicale Olomouc International Choirs Competition (Czech Republic) in 2001. In the 30th Festa Musicale Olomouc International Choirs Competition, Burdur Municipality Children's Choir and Mersin State Opera - Ballet Children's Choir and their conductor Reyhan Bezdüz competed together and won the gold medal as the first prize in their category.

In 2014, he was accepted from Sing'n'joyVienna 29th International Franz Schubert Choir Competition, which he applied with KOROMAKÜ, which he directed. In 2016, she received the first prize at the XIIIth International Choral Festival “Maestro Mednikarov“ in Bulgaria with KOROMAKÜ. In 2017, she founded the KIBELE Women's Choir within the Burdur Municipality and gave concerts at various festivals. In 2019, she gave two concerts with KOROMAKÜ at the XIVth Universitas Cantat (POZNAN - POLAND), which she attended as an invited guest. KOROMAKÜ, which she trained and conducted, took part in the United Festival Choir consisting of nine participating choirs and accompanied tenor Andrea BOCELLI in the stadium concert held for the closing of the festival.

In 2020, his book titled Şiir den Şarkıya (From Poetry to Song), composed on the poems of our well-known children's literature poets, with piano accompaniment by H. Ozan DEMİRTAŞ: Songs with Piano Accompaniment for Children's Choirs II. was published. The piano accompaniments belong to Oya AKMAN; He composed the anthems of Süleyman Demirel University Anthem written by Ziynet Yıldız and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Anthems written by Kamuran Semra Eren. As a requirement of academic education and staff, in the context of fine arts education; He has published various national and international articles, papers, books, book chapters in the fields of music education, choral education, voice education.

Among the choral festivals of our country, Boğaziçi University KOROFEST, Istanbul SANSEV, Izmir MOZART ACADEMY and Ankara Polyphonic Choirs Association Choral Festivals, Burdur Municipality Children's Choir, SDU Polyphonic Choir and Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Polyphonic Choir KOROMAKÜ received various festival awards, especially “Intonation, homogeneity and choral timbre success award”, as well as special awards.

He retired from his position as a faculty member of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Education, Department of Music Education in 2025. He is currently the instructor and conductor of the Antalya Polyphonic Choir of İsmail Baha Sürelsan Conservatory, and is a member of the evaluation and advisory board in national and international choir festivals and competitions.
